We Give Li-Ion

Batteries

A New Chance

Thanks to our reprocessing center,

up to 98% of the components

of old batteries will go back to production.

We are the first

in Slovakia

As a company, we focus on

innovation and ecology.

Thanks to us, valuable materials

which previously ended up as waste

will get a chance to be repurposed.

Reprocessing Center

We will be the first centre in Slovakia,
which will allow the reuse of old Li-Ion batteries.

The industrial area in Šurany in the Nové Zámky district, is the best place to create our reprocessing center. The reason for this is the close proximity of the hall with a production line for Li-lon batteries. This way, the raw material gained at the end of our process can be immediately used for the making of new batteries, without the need to transport the materials further.

More About

We aim to begin in 2025. The center will provide employment for approximately 70 employees and its estimated processing capacity will be at the level of 20 000 tons of Li-Ion batteries per year.

More About

Ecology and innovation come first for us. We use the latest patented technology from ERMAFA ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES GmbH and RET Reckelberg Environmental Technologies GmbH, which pushes the boundaries of the usability of Li-Ion batteries and meets the highest standards in the field of quality and sustainability.

Detailed Steps of
the Process on the ShredCo Line

1.Phase

Discharge of Batteries

Li-Ion batteries are fully
discharged to prevent thermal reaction.
The energy obtainedCan be reused
2.Phase

Drying in Vacuum

Using vacuum technology, the electrolyte is separated from the batteries.
electrolyte recovery
3.Phase

Mechanic Separation

The other parts of the batteries are crushed and separated into black mass, iron, aluminum, copper and plastics.
Balck MassFe, AI, Cu, plastics

Coversion of Black Mass

Precious metals (lithium, cobalt, nickel and graphite) are obtained from the black mass using hydrometallurgy.
lithium, cobaltnickel, graphite
